I know I shared a lot on my social media, but there is so much I wanted to wait and show on my blog. This is the real story of one of the most traumatic experiences we had in the hospital this time around.
After Oakley’s second surgery, he was in the PICU, and they had put him in an induced coma with a lumbar drain in his back. The doctors were worried because his CSF fluid kept leaking, which is vital for him to retain from his brain to his spine. They had to fluid resuscitate Oakley as his blood pressure and heart rate dropped, and they needed him to be stable for the lumbar drain.
