Ever wondered what the reality of having four children and running an online business looks like? For me, the day kicks off at 6:15 am sharp. The beep of the alarm wakes me up. Rise and shine, Talia! It’s only ever me awake this time unless Oakley has had a rough night. The kids are still sleeping, but I need this brief window alone to prepare for the day ahead. Because, let’s face it, preparation is a superpower when you’re a mum of four.

I stumble out of bed, rub my eyes, and hop in the shower. I’m often still half asleep. I wish I could have more appreciation for this moment, one of the only times I get to breathe all day. But mornings are usually the toughest time of day for me. It’s relentless to drag yourself out of bed every day when you’re exhausted from the day before and know another struggle awaits. That’s another lesson I’ve learnt as a mum – chaos follows you everywhere!
